Bar Hopping (Nov 2005)
The Holidays...what better time to catch with SF's newest hotspots? I keep a list in my car of the places that I "need" to visit. You know, check them out to see if they're worth "revisiting" with my crew. I've been known to hit 5 - 8 spots in an evening. I make friends with the bartender, doorman, or maitre de...hoping for that "beyond the velvet rope" treatment when I return, but more importantly getting the real scoop on what's hot...and what's not.
My current list of places needing review:
- Ame in the new St. Regis. Reviews: citysearch | yelp
- Thursday or Friday night at Nihon. Reviews: citysearch | yelp
- Dinner at Supper Club. Reviews: citysearch | yelp
- Yelp (doesn't really count, but it's the latest "in" website)
- Dinner (if I can pry myself away from the bar) at Jack Falstaff. Reviews: citysearch | yelp
- Range, new Mission hot spot. Review: sf chronicle review | citysearch | yelp
- Some like it raw - Bar Crudo. Reviews: citysearch | yelp
- Lucid...art gallery meets bar. Reviews: citysearch | yelp
- Cav Wine Bar - did a drive by, but couldn't get a good feel. Reviews: citysearch | yelp
If you make it to one of these before I do, let me know what you think.
Back to you again later, but for starters try the events hosted by the young professionals groups. Click here - http://www.viplineup.com/youngadults.asp. Holidays are prime time for meeting people because everyone goes out more than usual. And ask Jerusha, our "singles" expert, click here - http://lastsinglegirl.blogs.com/

Where do you recommend single people should go to meet nice people?
